the "royal card" don`t always copy all the card action
Not a bug. Bridge Troll says "while this is in play, costs are -1". There is still only one copy of Bridge Troll in play, so costs are only -1.
What you were trying to do would work with Bridge, though, since it doesn't say "while this is in play". :)
