This could have been deliberate, but it seems to contradict the prevailing understanding of this combo.
In Shuffle iT, if I play a village, followed by a Black Market, play my treasures, don't buy from the Black Market, then play Tactician, I should be able to spend my money to buy something at the end of that turn, then receive the Tactician benefit on my next turn. However, buying something in the first turn seems to nullify the Tactician, forcing it to discard and have no effect on the next turn.

You need to keep 1 treasure or another card in your hand together with Tactician, because you only get Tactician's benefit if at least 1 card is discarded.
