I played i disciple on a Band of Misfits and was really surprised what happened. After the card text, i expect that i cant play the second Band of Misfits as an different card as the first and that i get a new Band of Misfits. Instate of that, the Band of Misfits was both times the same card and i get the card that the Misfits was, instate of an new Misfit.
Is this a bug, or did i misunderstand the card text?
That is correct. Band of Misfits becomes the card you pick until it leaves play.
1) Therefore, you can't choose a new card when you play it the second time (exception is if it has left play)
2) It also takes the name of the card you picked, such that you gain that card due to Disciple's effect.

To add to what Markus said, if the Band of Misfits is not in play after you finish playing it twice (usually because it is in the trash), it is back to being a Band of Misfits and so Disciple's effect gains a Band of Misfits in this special case.
