IMHO a nickname like superf**ker shouldn't be allowed.
Indeed some need to be changed. Others just get banned. In this case it was the latter.
is there any reason to not have a filter when people make usernames? Any username with certain four-letter substrings could just not be allowed...
There are many ways to spell pr0fan1ty.
some really simple grepping can get around that
Look I've seen a lot of software projects that use stuff like this to save time. You code it once, it's done, and now you have a lot less work individually banning accounts.

Seriously? A little over sensitive here? I have been in Pokemon Go raids with some local over here called Aswhole. It's hilarious! If you can find a creative way to make the name work, I say go for it :)
