Title: Resigning without comment
Post by: DanielVanciae on 04 November 2018, 06:12:34 PM
Does anyone else feel that it is rude for an opponent to resign without saying anything, especially if he/she sets "Ready" afterwards (so that it clearly wasn't due to a sudden emergency)? Probably I'm just overly fussy . . .

I'd always prefer some comment (a simple 'gg' is sufficient), but there are a number of people that never say anything in chat, so I wouldn't get to worked up over it.

Also remember that your opponent doesn't necessarily know English, in which case it is not easy for them to chat with you.

Or they could be playing on non PC.

I am, sadly, guilty of this! I try to say bye, or g2g when I can, but I work from home and have a high-needs toddler, so... sometimes there literally are diaper emergencies, lol.
But playing a quick game is my sanity saver some days!
Anyway, better to resign than just disconnect and leave someone hanging, right?
