Title: Stockpile appearing in Kingdom too frequently?
Post by: dane on 04 March 2020, 10:40:55 AM
I realise that the nature of random events means that rare occurrences must eventually happen to someone, but this is my experience this morning against Lord Rattington:

Played three games with Stockpile.
Resigned two games at the start because Stockpile had been drawn yet again.
Finally got a game with Bounty Hunter.
In the course of the next five games Stockpile appeared four times, Coven once.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?  Or have I merely been the person to whom a rare occurrence has occurred?

So far, only one game (out of about 13) with Coven, for me.  So, it does seem to appear much less often than mere chance would suggest.  Something re the game's Preview programming???

With hundreds of players in the previews, some of them are bound to have extreme experiences of that kind.

Of course I can't vouch for the RNG implementation, and maybe it uses something inappropriate for the seed, but I had enough games with Coven today to convince me it's not generally 'rare'.

And the lack of people replying "I've had Stockpile lots of times too" shows that I was one of the ones that had an extreme experience.

Given the low activity on this forum, no "supportive" statements doesn't mean much of anything.

But not having heard of it on discord (where discussion goes on mostly for the whole day) makes me more certain that there is no general bias.
