I noticed that most of the times when I win, the rating goes up marginally by 0.05 or similar but when i lose, i lose 0.1 to 0.15 points together.
This looks unfair but i am sure there is a mathematical formula behind it which is not so easy to understand in 1 go.
Can someone help me understand what are the criterion of getting more win + rating points ?
1. Does Margin of Victory points matter ?
2. Type of cards or sequence/deck matter ?
3. rating of opponents matters ?
4. Does number of moves matter ?
What else matters for your rating points to increase or decrease ?
If it is already discussed or documented, please send a link.
The only thing that matters is 3), your opponent's ratings, and of course the result of the game.
You can find details here (http://forum.shuffleit.nl/index.php?topic=1679.0) in the forum.
But from what you describe it seems you play mostly players that are lower rated than you, so the rating gain from a win is smaller than the rating loss from a loss against that same player.
You might want to take a look at your opponent's rating while you play (both ratings are at the top of the game log). After a game, you can use Dombot on the general Dominion discord (https://discord.gg/KDCWKeG) to check your latest rated games, their opponent's and their rating.
Ohh, Perfect ! This helps understanding the up and down.
and how about Resigning ? What happens when
I resign
opponent resigns.
From the link: "resigning is the same as losing".
