A few months after Dark Ages, everyone thought Rebuild was a broken card and wrote a bunch of angry posts and articles about it. It turns out they were wrong, and it's really not that impressive, but the idea has kind of stuck. If you're not that good at the game, Rebuild seems a lot better than it is too because it is a 1 card strategy (same with Minion and Sauna). So it's possible this person is just in a "rebuild too op" mentality and hasn't overcome that.

Undos are NOT part of the game and that option should be removed.   This is the 4th online platform for Dominion and I have played on all of them.   Undo causes huge problems on this website.   Undo was never needed on the previous platforms and game play was quite fast.  Yes folks, it is possible to play fast without making misclicks.  Saying it is poor sportmanship to decline an undo is a ridiculous thing to say.

It was on isotropic! Limited, but it was there.

I have reported numerous players and never gotten a single follow up or response back about what happened. Is this merely a fruitless effort and a black hole? Does this team actually take any action or am I wasting my time?

They do get read and sometimes discussed on the internal discord. Ingix does all the banning these days and he seems to stay on top of things for the most part.

For what it's worth, they have already gotten renewed once already and there don't seem to have been any fiascos this year. Pretty good odds on another renewal.

Every time I play a bot game the log starts with 0% Possession chance. How do I change that so the games are actually random?

I know it was banned in ranked but that decision was awful and I'd enjoy to just play truly random games with the cards I bought.

Just to be clear, possession was only banned for a brief period of time before banlists were implemented. You've had the ability to unban it for years now!

It's possible that you have misunderstood how Teacher works.

Given that you say that your first Teacher is still 'active', I'm assuming that soon after you first played the Teacher (probably the very next turn) you called it to put a token on one of the Action piles.  When you call it, it goes into your play area.  Therefore at the end of that turn it gets discarded.  At some later stage your discard pile gets reshuffled and becomes your deck, so eventually the Teacher will find its way into your hand again.

Is that so? I thoght the card was spent when you use it the first time and could not be used again? Does not seem that you should be able to use it over and over, too powerful of a card for that

You can use it over and over. It's powerful, but disciple is usually stronger because games tend to end very quickly in peasant games.

The obvious optimal strategy for the other person is simply to buy nothing until they happen to luck in to and get and $8 hand with the deck they currently have.

Do you really want to encourage that play? Sitting there for shuffle after shuffle being like nope, got $7, gotta pass five more turns for my gold to come around and hopefully collide...

I don't think it was a brain-fart, it was a metagame tradeoff - they're not willing to wait for hours being bored until they get the shuffle luck they need to finish the game, so they risk losing to just get the game over with. Same kind of decision as just resigning if someone is slow-playing you at a rate of one copper per minute. There's no lesson for someone to learn here. I'd have probably done the same, and then blocked the person who did that to me.

Lol "I don't want to play with people playing the correct strategy" in other words. If you don't like the strategies Wall encourages, just add it to your ban list. There is nothing scummy about waiting for a good hand in this situation. I would be disappointed if my opponent played poorly here.

I'm not going to parse every case here, but one general thing you should know is that actions gained on an opponent's turn don't do anything. You can't bank them for your own turn either.

The only way to play the way you want to currently is to open tables, generate random sets the way you want with the expansion buttons and hope people join to play. You can try rated or unrated. Getting it the way you want on automatch probably isn't happening consistently.

Currently when you create a game, the default for "Show VC Counter" is checked by default.
It makes a better game if the victory points are not shown. It makes it like the table game where you do not know how many points you or an opponent has at any given time.

To ultimately make it like the table game, victory token points are known, but victory card points are not.

I would stop playing Dominion online without the point counter. It's way different from playing in person. Someone can easily track points on paper or in a notepad program; it's always possible to know the score. The point counter makes things fair and prevents people taking ages to make decisions.

I have never explained why I was kicking somebody. You could if you wanted to.
