General Discussion / Re: Undo Request
05 February 2018, 06:46:40 AM
The other day I accidentally made my opponent resign during a long think by him (the popup showed up and I reflex clicked on OK, just to close it I guess).

I suppose it would not be practical to have a undo for that as well?

1. An offline client, allowing you to play campaigns against bots
=> certainly desirable for the game and client, but not terribly interesting for me.

2. A bot with a setting for different play styles
=> Could be interesting to try things out, but not mandatory for me; for the platform itself very important I think.

3. A strong bot.
=> If there are to be bots, then there definately should be one that's strong.

4. Options for timed games
=> Interesting option and would be fun to try out, but low priority I think.

5. Options for undo settings
=> Yes, please.

6. Online mini-tournaments; the option to easily create one for you & your friends.
=> Not interesting for me, but sounds neat.

7. Option to invite specific players to your table
=> Sounds like a smart feature that complements nicely with the existing platform.

8. More translations (to what language?)
=> Not needed. But well... I'm German and I still play with the original English cards.

9. Better animations when cards are gained/bought/played/...
=> I think this is crucial for a more popular and wider spread client. At the very least it should make the log unnecessary. It should be customizable, however, to what extend you see the animations.

10. Better visualization of split piles, Archive/Crypt contents, Prince targets, ...
=> Sure. Almost a must, rather than a feature.

10. Option to hide the log
=> Absolutely. But all the necessary information need to be shown in some other way of course.

11. Android app (or just improved compatibility?)
=> Don't really care.

12. iPhone app (or just improved compatibility?)
=> Care even less.

13. Downloadable game logs
=> I would be happy to have a viewable game log post-game at least. But sure, this would make discussion games and learning from them much easier.

14. Improved moderation (dealing with chat abuse, slowplayers, ...)
=> Don't care.

15. Tutorial on how to play Dominion
=> Should be added, yes. Or at least link to some other tutorials.

16. Tutorial on how to play dominion online.
=> Should be added.

My Top 3 would be:

- Make game playable without log (not that important for ME, but it's essential for the casual player)
- Implement the missing cards
- Add leaderboard

General Discussion / Re: Initial site impressions

Btw, as much as I dislike MS browsers, I find it quite disturbing that the site doesn't work for MS Edge, as this should be one of the 3-4 standards of today's browsers.

If a bot finishes a game by buying the last province or emptying the third pile, his final turn (his actions) is not shown on-screen. Instead the game moves directly after your last turn to the results screen, and you can only read in the log how you actually got there.

Also, I've noticed that in games with 3 or more players, you don't see your opponents' piles, and I haven't figured out a way to make them visible yet.

Other Bugs / Re: Game hangs when Provinces empty

Right after finally managing to confirm my email address so I could actually play them, in three bot games in a row, the game has failed to end and has waited on the last person to play once the last province is bought.  Resigning from this point (the only way to leave without refreshing) causes the game to hang on the loading screen.

Windows 7, Firefox.
I have the same issue with Firefox (v50.1.0) on Windows 10. The game seems to freeze after being finished without moving on to the results screen. This, however, resolves after a couple of minutes, and you DO get to the results screen.
I don't know whether this helps anything, but this is the web console after the game froze:
