Card Bugs / Re: Ducat is a forced play when having debt

This is really odd.

Even moving the slider to some amount of Debt that should be covered by what coins you already have triggers the Ducat play.

General Discussion / Re: Development Update Request

Hopefully someone with knowledge will eventually reply, but in the meantime I'll point out more optimistic interpretations:
  • The last time Stef went very quiet, he working on a major update that included making Renaissance available for the previews.  His silence now might be an indication that he is tackling one of the major improvements that he has identified in the past as being desirable.

This reminds me of those A Song of Ice and Fire fans who interpret George R.R. Martin's silence/mood/travel itinerary as a sign that the book(s) will be done soon.

General Discussion / Re: How to get abusive people kicked off
« on: 13 December 2018, 06:02:00 AM »
Yet again, for the sin of playing a better game I had someone be abusive and disgusting to me. Of course the incel had to use harrasing sexual imagery to their insult b/c I have a very feminine username. WTF? How do we get rid of this garbage? I pay quite a bit for the ability to play this game. THese people needs to go.

I can imagine that the abuse directed at you was orders of magnitude worse than 'incel' -- but I think that is also an unfortunate pejorative that would send someone here to complain...

General Discussion / Re: Resigning without comment
« on: 04 November 2018, 06:19:57 PM »
Does anyone else feel that it is rude for an opponent to resign without saying anything, especially if he/she sets "Ready" afterwards (so that it clearly wasn't due to a sudden emergency)? Probably I'm just overly fussy . . .

I'd always prefer some comment (a simple 'gg' is sufficient), but there are a number of people that never say anything in chat, so I wouldn't get to worked up over it.

Feature Requests / Re: Games with no turn shouldn't count as wins

Nah, just take it. They balance out over time.

Card Bugs / Re: didn't get a buy phase after playing Tactician
« on: 06 September 2018, 07:13:38 PM »
This is a little disorienting the first few times it happens, but I'm not sure there's a better way of handling it that wouldn't get annoying after you're familiar with why it happens.

Connection Problems / Re: Oregon server very slow
« on: 31 August 2018, 07:10:30 AM »
It's been like this on all servers for me for the past several weeks consistently.

I've played over 200 hundred games over the past several weeks. The problem hasn't been consistent.

It was very, very bad a couple of days ago, but it hasn't been a constant thing.

Feature Requests / Re: When using matching, choose friends first.

Would a private table option solve this in a more general way?

Note that recreating the kingdom based on the cardlist has some limitations, such as Knight ordering, Bane card, Druid Boons etc.

If the competition is other idle games, I'm not sure you need a fantastic offline AI.

General Discussion / Re: Unnecessary annoying behaviour

It's easy to view it that way, but I don't think that's always the intention.

Counterpoint: sometimes unexpected things happen with the score at the end of the game (cards getting returned to supply affecting landmark points etc.). The prudent thing is to grab as many points as you can.

Other Bugs / Re: Game reset to beginning after granting undo
« on: 25 June 2018, 10:23:35 PM »
Would it be too much trouble to make that window more descriptive? You could put in the turn number they're requesting to undo to ("Request to undo 55 steps (turn 10)"), or the number of turns that would be undone ("Request to undo 55 steps (10 turns)"). "Steps" is not a concept that exists in Dominion so having that be the only information someone has to go by can be confusing.

If I see someone request to undo 55 of anything, I'm going to think twice about it. I don't care what they're called.

On the other hand, for 99% of undo requests, adding the turn wouldn't tell us anything useful. Maybe include it for requests that go back more than one turn?

Feature Requests / Automatch Should Skip Previous Opponent
« on: 01 June 2018, 07:49:26 PM »
(I think I've requested this before, but that was a long time ago. I will try to frame it here as simply as possible)

When you finish a game against someone, both players have a choice which can be simplified to "Do I want to play another game against this person right now?"

If the answer is 'yes', they click 'Ready'

If the answer is 'no', they leave the table.

Given this decision, it's a bit awkward when, after one player leaves the table, both players get matched up again. If both players wanted to play again, they would have done so without the matching system's "help".

Could you add a constraint to the matching system to avoid choosing the last opponent?

Is your point that you would like to see an extra minute added to the time (via the snooze button), or, that you would like to see, essentially, an "only one minute left b/f DQ" warning, and that--with this--you'd be fine leaving it at its current length of time?  I would not mind that second choice at all, with an auditory signal as well.

The former: one additional minute added. I'd like to give people I know a chance to reconnect or whatever; and this would let me know how much extra time i've given them.
