Stuck on "Waiting for Revenge Witch" after witch plays Secret Passage. Refreshing/rebooting does not help. This has happened several times. I'm finally getting around to griping about it.

Turn 18 - Revenge Witch R starts their turn. R draws 3 cards (Haunted Woods). R plays a Small Castle. R trashes a Small Castle.

Then... crickets. (R doesn't even get a castle.)

I'm a newbie to posting, but I've been playing Dominion for many years. Playing with my friends is the best, and themed games are great fun, but randomization is the only way to go for rated games. It levels the playing field and ensures we are all being judged on the same criteria.

Now, if there were standardized themes offered that carried their own rating, that would be fine, too. I've seen customized rating systems in other games. That way, all players would be playing for a rating within each of those themes and the selected kingdoms/cards for each would be made known (and could be prepared for) in advance, perhaps in a separate tab. This kind of set up might satisfy those who want to play "more challenging" levels while still being rated, but only with peers within the same theme.

But let's not compare apples to oranges. As things stand right now, randomization is the only fair way to play rated games.

Thank you, Ingix. However, I didn't get a chance to try that. When I tried logging in normally a few minutes ago, it was working. Go figure. But I will keep your workaround in my back pocket for future reference. Appreciate your reply!

Yesterday (March 9, 2022) I was playing as usual. Then at some point when I was starting a new game, it just froze up. I tried refreshing the game, but just got the "Reconnecting... Cancel or Resign" page. I tried refreshing again, restarting my browser, emptying the cache, restarting my computer (all multiple times over the course of the day)... nothing worked. It still stalls at "Reconnecting...Cancel or Resign" even into today. My subscription is current. All other websites work for me. What else can I do?

I think this would be great. I usually play bots because my game play often gets interrupted. Bots don't care.

Are you talking about play styles like in the old MF where rounds often started with different beginning cards, or extra turns? Maybe, if I could turn it on and off.

Definitely. But again, optional.

4. Options for timed games
Hmm, sounds intriguing. I could go for this as an option.

5. Options for undo settings
Improved screen fit to small devices (phone, tablet) would reduce the desire for undo options for me (a misplaced touch can be disastrous), but I do like having them anyway.

6. Online mini-tournaments; the option to easily create one for you & your friends.
YES!

7. Option to invite specific players to your table
YES!

8. More translations (to what language?)
N/A

9. Better animations when cards are gained/bought/played/...
They've improved nicely. I did like the ability to control the speed of play in the MF version. (Can you already do that? I haven't tried to change it in this version.) Also, I would really like to see more of what the other players are doing (see the cards they gain, trash, etc.) instead of having to only rely on the log.

10. Better visualization of split piles, Archive/Crypt contents, Prince targets, ...
That would be great, but keep small devices in mind. Perhaps these need to be visible on a popup, or as the Trash and Log are toggled now.

10. Option to hide the log
As in not ABLE to see it? Ever? Hmm. No. Keep it as is. Accessible, but able to toggle off (hide).  (Of course, as long as it's an OPTION, go ahead and add it.)

11. Android app (or just improved compatibility?)
Yes (Yes) (as in, both)

12. iPhone app (or just improved compatibility?)
Yes (Yes)

13. Downloadable game logs
I doubt I would ever use this, but I could see serious tournament players appreciating this.

I don't play live players often, and haven't experienced excessive behaviors. But I know I would hate dealing with vulgarities, bullying, or chronically sluggish opponents.

Absolutely. You want new players, don't you?

Yes. It took me a while to get used to this version after the MF version.  A tutorial might have helped speed up the learning curve.

25 January 2017 9:00 pm MST. Playing against bot, I could play the Lurker, but as soon as the bot played Lurker, the game froze. I was surprised when the prompt came up "Waiting for Lord Rattington", as though he were "thinking" about the play. But the play never continued, even after closing out the game and logging back in. I had to resign. :(
