It seems that the UI has updated over the past few days.  When clicking to gain cards from the kingdom, I have previously been used to a single click will gain a card.  Now it is inconsistent, sometimes it is a single click, but other times the card will not be gained until a double or triple click.  This is an issue when gaining cards as it may cause cards to be gained when not meaning to.

General Discussion / Re: Question on Automatch

These are my automatch settings.  As you can see, all cards in the generated kingdom are level 5 and below even though the Card Pool level listed in the game on the right says level 10.

Edit/Update:  I just tried to generate a match with minimum level 10 and level 10 so I would have to wait for someone with a complete subscription.  It still generated a match with level 5 and below cards but listed it as generating the kingdom at level 10.

Thank you for the insight!  Should I report as a bug?  If so, I can probably play a few more games and take screenshots if necessary.

First time back to Dominion in a few years (lots of new cards to learn!) but I have a question on how automatch works.  I believe that it randomly generates a kingdom from all available cards in a game level, but it does not seem like that in practice.  I'm playing at level 10, but I've played about 25-30 games now over the past few days but I am yet to see a single Landmark, Way, Project, or Event let alone any of the Nocturne cards that deal with the Night phase or anything to do with Allies or debt.  On the flip side, as a specific example, I've played with Tide Pools in over half of my games today (4/7 games).

Just seems odd... am I missing something on how these kingdoms are generated in automatch?  Is it that rare to see a Landmark, Way, Project, or Event?  Back when I was last playing, I thought you could bias automatch towards certain expansions.  I remember setting something and that all of my games had Nocturne and Empires cards in them.

As a follow up to this, I checked what is actually in each card level and it seems my kingdoms are not generating cards with levels 6-10 even though I have the level range set from minimum 5-10.  I have a core subscription but when I enter a match, it always states the kingdom was generated at level 10 yet I have not seen any cards higher than level 5.  Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Wanted to provide feedback per your request, even if I don't get the credit for the free 6-month extension due to it being past 10 days... but am hopeful I can still get it :)

1. An offline client, allowing you to play campaigns against bots.
I prefer online play against real people.  However, if this makes it to a phone app, I can see myself using it from time to time.

2. A bot with a setting for different play styles
A bot with difficulty settings for offline play is almost necessary.  When you mention play styles... do you mean Big Money vs. engine-builder?  Interesting, but not necessary.

3. A strong bot.
Absolutely.  You only learn against strong opponents.

4. Options for timed games
Games vary so much depending on the board, I don't see how this would work unless you are talking about varying the timer to force resign.

5. Options for undo settings
Yes, some people abuse the undo so a variable undo option for "not allowed", "once per game", or "upon request" would work.

6. Online mini-tournaments; the option to easily create one for you & your friends.
I like the tournament option.  Maybe even give out badges or awards people can display for winning or placing in a tournament.

7. Option to invite specific players to your table
Yes!

8. More translations (to what language?)
As an English-only speaker, this is not on my priority list.

9. Better animations when cards are gained/bought/played/...
I'm fine with simple presentation as long as the mechanics of the game and interface works well.

10. Better visualization of split piles, Archive/Crypt contents, Prince targets, ...
Yes, this is lacking at the moment.

10. Option to hide the log
I like the log so not necessary for me.

11. Android app (or just improved compatibility?)
iphone user here...

12. iPhone app (or just improved compatibility?)
Absolutely yes!  This is probably #1 on my wishlist.  I do a lot of my gaming via my iPhone so the ability to play online Dominion seamlessly on my iPhone would be a huge benefit for me.

13. Downloadable game logs
Meh... just the ability to see them at the end of the game is fine.

14. Improved moderation (dealing with chat abuse, slowplayers, ...)
Not a big issue from my standpoint.  That's why we have the option to block players!

15. Tutorial on how to play Dominion
Would be beneficial for new players but not a priority for me.

16. Tutorial on how to play dominion online.
Again, would be beneficial for new players but not a priority for me.

I would also like to see this feature, even if it just for entire sets instead of individual cards.  Having this bias option available for rated games would be preferable.

General Discussion / Re: Donate and Possession

Donate is absurdly strong but still fun.  Possession is a poorly designed card because it encourages you to ruin your own deck. Not fun. And Donate provides the perfect means of ruining your deck.

While I agree that Possession encourages some weird deck construction, it was around before Donate was published and not replaced in 2nd edition (to my knowledge).  I feel that an interaction between two cards that causes a stalemate like this should have been caught during playtesting and this is a huge miss.  Individually, each have their own merit and while I understand the general dislike for Possession, I like that it makes you look at the kingdom a little differently.

It's unfortunate because I feel that I have to mark one of these cards as "unfamiliar" so I don't run into this situation again, and I'd rather not do that.

General Discussion / Donate and Possession
25 July 2017, 12:27:33 AM
Has anyone ever had the pleasure of playing a game with Donate and Possession in the kingdom and any village?  It essentially boils down to each player trashing their deck down to Village-Village-Possession-Possession-Possession or something similar and consequently staring at each other across the computer screen trying to figure out what to do at this point (an offer draw button was brought up by both of us).

What are people's experiences with this?  Is this, dare I say it, a "broken" combination?  Am I completely missing something?

As a side note, I feel that Donate is bordering on absurdly strong as it is.  Trashing whatever you want out of your deck at any time seems too easy.

General Discussion / Re: Rematching

Speaking of rematches... if both players choose to play another game together by pressing the "ready" button, does the losing player from the previous game always go first?  I've played a few series over the past few days and this always seems to be the case.
