Support / Site down?
20 March 2020, 03:19:24 AM
The site doesn't load at all for me right now, always with a timeout error. I've tried several other sites and sshing into different places and everything else about my internet connection seems to work fine.

EDIT: I've tried this from chrome, chrome incognito and firefox. I've also tried pinging dominion.games, and it didn't respond (although I'm not sure if it was supposed to since I've never done that in the past).

I've updated past version .100 and the issue seems resolved indeed. I could login, start a game and buy a card on my first turn. Console looks clean. Now, let's finish that game.

I have Linux (Debian), kernel version 5.2.17.

I'm at a loss to understand what's going on.  :(

Does this mean that I (we) can't expect this will be fixed? Or hopefully something less dire?

Similar reports have come via discord. It seems the new Chrome version does something that flags down the certificate chain as untrustworthy. No idea why and what can be done about it and who the "culrpit" is.

That doesn't really explain it working in chrome incognito, does it?

I'm still seeing the issue (or a similar one) even after rebooting. It's been at least 3 days that I cannot access the system.

I'm seeing about the same thing on chrome on linux. I can't even get it to show me the textboxes for user and password, even after clearing all local data according to chrome.

It works in incognito, though. Maybe chrome is hanging on to an invalid certificate? I don't see how to delete that, though.

It should allow me to choose the on-buy order (haggler or Mint) but the interface originally says "you may buy cards" even though no card is clickable (I have buys left). I don't know if this would happen without Watchtower in hand, but I think I've seen that work properly before.

Screenshot attached.

Hi,

My username is pablominion, and I'd love to have some extra subscription time. Below is the feedback, although to be honest, it didn't take me an hour (you did ask to keep it short), so I understand if you find it undeserving.

1. An offline client, allowing you to play campaigns against bots

This would be the best. Especially to play when traveling or without a good connection (plane, subway, non-urban areas, all good candidates).

2. A bot with a setting for different play styles

I think this would be nice, but not as important as the playing level of existing bots being more varied. Variety is important because otherwise, playing bots a lot trains you to play bots (for instance, you may spot a particular card combination that is killer for a few bots, and it makes you think it's really strong in general when it really isn't, or not as often).

3. A strong bot.

Most important feature on the list (linked to the above).

4. Options for timed games

Don't care.

5. Options for undo settings

Current undo feature seemed pretty reasonable, although the ability to undo faster would be nice, as 1-by-1 movement can be slow if you realize your mistake after a few clicks.

6. Online mini-tournaments; the option to easily create one for you & your friends.

Don't care.

7. Option to invite specific players to your table

I would like it, but it's not super important to me.

8. More translations (to what language?)

Don't care.

9. Better animations when cards are gained/bought/played/...

Don't care.

10. Better visualization of split piles, Archive/Crypt contents, Prince targets, ...

Don't care.

10. Option to hide the log

I don't want to hide the log completely, but better options to visualize the stuff that share the real estate would be nice (like mats and duration cards).

11. Android app (or just improved compatibility?)

It would be important to me only if it allow offline play against bots. Times when I want to play from my phone and times when I don't have a good connection overlap almost perfectly.

12. iPhone app (or just improved compatibility?)

Don't care.

13. Downloadable game logs

Nice to have, but not super important to me.

14. Improved moderation (dealing with chat abuse, slowplayers, ...)

It would be nice for me to know it's there, and it would make me play less bots and more people, but not a huge deterrent now.
