OK, I see. Possession says you gain the card instead of the possessed player, not after he does.

Card Bugs / Groundskeeper & Possession

Joining game #8366636 on oregon.

I possess my opponent several times. I play his Groundskeeper, buy Estate or Duchy. No one gets any VP tokens.

Bug Reports / Re: Crossroads / Inheritance
15 June 2017, 06:24:57 AM
This isn't a bug.

See here:
QuoteIf Estate inherits Crossroads, then playing an Estate can't give you +3 Actions because it's not "the first time you played a Crossroads this turn". But if you play an Estate and then a Crossroads, you do get the +3 Actions from the Crossroads, since it is the first time you've played a Crossroads.

This could be fixed by just having obvious animations showing where the three coppers go instead of having to look at the log. You don't have to make the player choose which of the three coppers to trash.

Yes, I just noticed this in a game with Quest as well.

Interface Issues / Ghost Ship on Possession turn
18 February 2017, 06:51:58 AM
In game #1327285 on tokyo, I play Possession, then on my opponent's posssesed hand I play Ghost Ship. The interface doesn't return me to my hand to top deck a card. Undo, etc. doesn't work.

Potentially this should only happen if there are reserves, durations, set asides, etc. present in the kingdom.

Interface Issues / Placement of Ruins pile

I think this should be next to the Curse pile, smaller and off to the left, since it is a Supply pile and not a Kingdom pile.

Card Bugs / Re: Band of Misfits as Transmogrify

I can confirm that in the previous online version you could not call a Band of Misfits from your Tavern Mat.

In real life I suppose you can play any way you like, but that is not following the rules.

The same thing happens with Survivors

Or -- just don't ever show 'revealed' cards after any action has been played following the 'reveal'. Problem solved.

Just to correct the above comment, your discard pile is NOT ordered. Your deck, of course, is.

I agree that sorting the discard pile by name (or even the in-play pile, for e.g. Scheme) is a good idea.

The biggest problem is that you don't actually do that in the physical implementation. What is in your hand is only public information at the time in which you revealed your hand (or a particular card, etc.). There are several cards that will move cards from your hand to another place (discard, somewhere in your deck) without revealing which cards were moved. If you suddenly noticed that the previously revealed card is no longer there, well, that's against the rules.

Ex. You play City Quarter, revealing 3 Markets, drawing 3 cards. I can still see the 3 Markets in your hand. You then play a Secret Passage and put one of the Markets on the bottom of your deck. Should I still see 3 Markets there, or only 2?

Interface Issues / Re: "Crown" Logic
09 January 2017, 10:19:30 PM
Another solution here is to have some extremely explicit text (a button or something) on the screen at all times that tells you what phase you are in ("Action Phase", etc.), and you can manually click on this button or drag it or click an arrow to explicitly tell the program when you want to go to the next phase. It can roll to the next phase automatically if you run out of Actions (and no Royal Carriage, COTR, etc), but you would need to click this to manually move on, like in our Crown examples (this would eliminate the potentially confusing End Actions button).

Maybe even change the color of the background or something else that is in your face at all times to make it so, so obvious which phase you are in. I mean, if the whole background is Yellow during the Buy Phase when it is White in the Action phase, users will absolutely know which phase they are in, and certainly make fewer Crown mistakes, and the integrity of the game is not jeapardized.

Card Bugs / Re: Tower not scored?

Tower: "When scoring, 1VP per non-Victory card you have from an empty Supply pile."
