I agree with Mike's suggested behaviour. The options - in my opinion - are "Topdeck"/"Don't topdeck" not "Topdeck"/"Play next action". The action follows afterwards and is not related to the topdecking. I can understand that for some people the "Don't topdeck" option is probably really unnecessary and they are happy that they can save time. But I still consider myself a beginner and everything that makes more clear what is happening on the screen is useful to me. In another thread it was suggested to program a way of "don't show this option anymore" for experienced players who don't need to make choices where there are no alternatives. I think, something like this would be useful here, too.

Interface Issues / Re: Cannot see last bot move

The final bot move is not shown. After I make my turn, the game ends, although the bot still takes one more turn.

Yep, I had that as well. Also the last move is not shown in the log in the end screen. I think, this is known already and probably will be fixed in due time.

How to Play / Re: Getting started

- If you want to maximize a card and read what's written on it, right-click it. Left clicking purchases the card (in the buy phase).

- There are still some issues with touch screen devices: right-click may not always work and dragging cards (e.g. Cartographer; Coin token slider) may cause difficulties as well. Please give us feedback about that if it's not working on your device.

I am playing on a regular Macbook Pro and can't figure out how to right-click. The usual ctrl-click does not work, and neither does alt-click or option-click.

Control-click works just fine for me with the trackpad.

Just tried it - and it doesn't work for me either. I usually use two-finger tap for right click, so I didn't notice before. Specs: Macbook Pro, macOS Sierra 10.12.1
In all other applications Ctrl+click works without problems.
Edit: Just realized that this only applies to Safari which is not supported. In Firefox it works.

That being said, I still find it rather unintuitive to use right click to be able to just look at the cards. ;-)

General Discussion / Re: Welcome to Dominion Online

Welcome all to the new Dominion Online!

Our client can be accessed via https://www.dominion.games.

As we speak e-mails are being sent out to players who had an account at one of the previous implementations. This e-mail contains an activation link that allows you to create an account that has a 1 year subscription to the expansions you had at one of the old systems. Please wait for this e-mail if you want to make use of this offer.

Happy playing in a happy new year!

Is this e-mail being sent to all people who had an account on MF or just to the people who bought expansions and had the right to the expansions on the new client?

Another suggestion:
I find the "Kick" and "Kick & Resign" option on the startpage rather unintuitive. I started a game yesterday against AI and forgot about it. When I just logged into the client again I found myself back in the game (without an enemy btw..? Edit: My mistake, it seems I startet a game with only one player) and I reloaded to get out of the game but landed again on the startpage and logged myself backin and looked for a way out of the game (/lobby didnt work, neither did other commands I invented... ;)). I only then remembered that someone had posted in this forum somewhere that there was a quit or kick option on the startpage and I used it.
So my suggestion would be to put a quit/resign button in the game screen.

Cheers :)

Another suggestion:

MF had all kingdom cards in the game at the beginning of the log. I liked that. If one saved the log, one could always set up the same kingdom again if one wanted.

My Macbook fan doesn't go up to 3000 rpm anymore as it did with MF.
Also I like the layout much better already, everything has a high resolution.
And one can see that you put effort into resolving people's problems and take into account their wishes!

Thank you, great work! :)

I second all of the above.

- I miss a way to easily veto full expansions: If I did not overlook it, there seems to be no way to set up a table that vetoes Alchemy cards as a whole.

To the first point: Can't you remove the tick in next to the name of the expansion on the screen when you click on "Select kingdom cards"?

Further suggestions:

- Further suggestion in the same direction: For the unexperienced players it would be nice if there was also a tick mark above all expansions so you can remove all ticks at once and only have to select base afterwards and maybe one other expansion instead of removing all the ticks manually.

- I'd like it if in the end screen I could see how many of every card my opponent and me had. Or at least me, if the other thing is revealing too much of the strategy of opponents.

I like the idea of setting up a table and inviting others to join to play. I assume the current table list will change, but I find it quite difficult to identify tables I would want to join as a player. I would suggest the following:

  • The host's player name as the title of the table in the player's column, or something else more descriptive.
  • The play button in the "running" column, saving space.
  • The number of current spectators next to the spectate button to save space, although I don't find it useful to know how may other players are watching a game.
  • Instead of the "running" state in the "running" column, one might display the last turn number perhaps. If I need to decide whether to spectate, I probably wouldn't on turn 24.

Thanks for your feedback! Lobby will be significantly cahnged and we'll take your thought into consideration.

I would like to add that I would find it useful to see in the overview from which expansions cards are chosen, so base and what else. As a not that experienced player I prefer only to use the expansions that I know and maybe one more. Yesterday I clicked through all tables to find out that there was no table like what I imagined and then opened one myself. So if you would also include that into your thoughts for the lobby, that would be great. :)

I get this:

on Windows 7 Professional with Service Pack 1, Firefox 45.5.1.

It's my work computer, so maybe there are some restrictions that I don't know. So the problem might be on my side as well. But I thought I'd let you know.

Hello,

the game log from a spectated game was still visible after starting my own game (frankfurt-test, #419). It changed after the first turn of the game. Is that a bug or intentional? See the following pictures:
