Even before these 12 cards were removed, I played with only two of them IRL. There are more interesting and stronger cards, and once you own several sets there was already plenty of variety without them. The average kingdom is improved by not using the removed cards.

Under Purchasing sets, you may want to specify that the costs are per year.  We don't want anyone thinking they pay 36 euros once and have the game forever...

In particular, "per year" should be added:

It costs approximately 6 pounds / euros for a user who owned every card on Making Fun to upgrade to Empires by selecting the Gold version. The price is automatically reduced in the store to not include the cost of expansions you have credit for.

If the store lists a cost in the ballpark of 36 pounds / euros, and the store says you own no sets, something may have gone wrong.

Great post! Another important thing to mention is that clicking "Ready" at a table with no other human opponents will start a game against a bot.

The "playing with friends" issue could be clarified slightly. Your friends never need a subscription to play with you. And your friends can get access to whatever cards you've subscribed to, which might not include all cards (e.g., with a Silver subscription).

"They do not need to buy subscriptions to play with you using all of the cards, as long as you have a subscription. If you create a table and they join your table, they will get to use all of the cards you have subscribed to during games at that table. So if you have a Gold subscription, your friends can play with you using all cards even if they are not subscribers."

Lastly, you may also want to link to the discord channel for people having technical issues - I know that Stef and Philip suggest that people use that.

[Do we get a choice of one or the other]

The developers have said that the offline only mode is in progress and should be available later in 2017, at which point you can transfer your purchases from Making Fun / resulting 1-year online subscription over.

(1) Do we get a choice of one or the other or do those of us who had bought items on MF get both the compensating sub we have now AND free play offline (forever?).

(2) If the first (we only get one or the other) does using the online version now make it so we won't be able to choose the offline version?

It's the first, and using the online version now doesn't mean you can't choose later.

You'll have Platinum in a game if and only if you have Colonies in the same game. They go together.

NON SUBSCRIPTION MODE OF PURCHASE, If I wanted ongoing cost I would play MTG

The great thing I see as a customer about the subscription mode of purchase is that customers know exactly what they are paying for. No one is being promised that the online game will be available many years in the future, which the developers shouldn't be able to promise because they can't guarantee that they will have the license at that time.

However, if you're willing to pay $200 upfront for a subscription lasting for the duration of their company supplying online Dominion, they might take you up on it.

Same bug. Game says "waiting for Lord Rattington" but it was my opponent's first turn and there was no bot in the game.

I gain Death Cart with Watchtower in hand. I see only options for Topdeck, or trash, but not no reaction. For the ruins that come with Death Cart, though, Watchtower works correctly and I see the "done reacting" option.

I don't get why the default is No. I would like if both Colony and Shelters default to Random.

I agree, and it's worth noting that under Random unless Prosperity or Dark Ages cards are in the kingdom, Platinum/Colony or Shelters, respectively will not appear, so the familiar cards feature will ensure that people don't see Colonies/Shelters until they have some exposure to their sets.

It doesn't offer me the option to add a month after selecting Gold for the rest of this year. It sends me straight to the "Cancel or Proceed To Payment" screen with nowhere offering me any chance to "continue shopping".

On the screen where you can select Gold for the rest of the year, instead select through January 31, 2018. It will show a price tag. Compare that to the price for Gold through December 31, 2017. That difference is the per month price (for a long month - it's charged per day).

I seem to recall that a gold subscription for all of 2017 is about U.S. $37. 

Because I owned sets on MF, I have partial sets here, and I do understand the principle used to calculate the amount I'd need to pay to get the full set. But I have not found a way to find what a year's subscription would cost for a newcomer at Silver and Gold levels. I understand the final amount varies depending on what country you are in, and would be satisfied if you could just post an answer that lays out the base amounts. Are Silver and Gold only available in 50-day increments? Are there price breaks for longer times?

I haven't decided whether to invest (i.e. "trust") in this new online version or not. On my limited fixed income, a new recurring charge is tough but I understand (and have owned my own) business so I get that you have to make a profit. I just need to be able to look at how much it is going to cost me over the longer haul.

You're being credited with a year of all sets but Empires, the Gold price is reduced since that's all you have left to buy. If you try to purchase for more than a year at a time you'll see that the price per month increases once you no longer get this discount.

Title says it all: I went to join someone's table and it says

Check the top of the log to see the trash. I'm sure a visual trash pile is a priority for the developers.
