I have set my unfamiliar cards to 1, but I get many more. Why is this happening.

The top two matching options ignore your familiar cards settings. If you want to play with only familiar cards, use the bottom two.

Also, does anyone actually consider voluntarily resigning when the game seems obviously in my opponent's favor to be discourteous? I typically do so when I am ready to concede and move on to another game with that individual. If I can't do another I tell them as much in text before resigning.

Both cases are the same bug. It doesn't seem to affect anything and will hopefully be fixed soon.

Feature Requests / Re: Idea for a game clock

(In response to Donald's "what have other games done?")

I've suggested this many times, but will suggest it again. Pokemon Showdown has an awesome battle timer that I think would fit Dominion pretty well. Games begin with no timer, but if a player determines they want the game to be timed they can click "Request timer." (There should probably be some customization here instead of a default) Players get a bank of time, let's say 5 minutes, which starts ticking off. When they take actions/complete a turn, the clock either stops or they get some time back. If the timer runs out, the opponent can request a resignation.

If you want to see what I mean, you can play a Challenge Cup game here without much time investment: http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/

Is this perfect? Probably not, but I do think it's a very good system to at least take inspiration from. Players who don't want a timer can choose not to use it, and it's easy enough to stay in the game by simply using actions etc.

This might not be your problem, but just in case, go to "Familiar Cards" and make sure you have everything set to Familiar. (in other words, not grayed out)

Is Possession the only card that can lead to these types of stalemates? (I guess both players trashing their decks to Donate willingly is a possibility too) Maybe there should be an "Offer a Draw" option that appears if certain cards are in the kingdom. I don't think I'd want people selecting that normally, so implementing it on a limited level seems okay in theory.

1. Go to the "Familiar Cards" tab
2. Click on "All Expansions"
3. Now go back to "Matching" and Bot Matches will use all cards.

an insurmountable lead, what incentive do I have to participate?

What is insurmountable? And how can you tell?

Of course, it is your choice. I am just wondering.

There are plenty of cases where one can easily tell when they have no chance of winning. One of the simplest is if there are literally not enough points left in the supply for the losing player to catch up. When this happens to me, I always resign. The rest of the game is a waste of time by any metric.

There are also cases in which the opponent simply recognized a possible deck you didn't, and that deck has so much more pile control and economy that you stand no chance of winning unless they misplay. Sure, you can hold out hope that they do, but sometimes I prefer to give my opponent the benefit of a doubt in those cases since I wouldn't feel great about winning such a game anyway.

You also might choose to resign if you're being Possessed multiple times each turn or facing an extremely click-heavy, but superior, deck. It's completely reasonable to just accept defeat.

There are other cases; these are just off the top of my head.

Yes, games with more than 4 players end on 4 piles.

1. QuickMatch options or default Familiar Cards to all cards for new users or give new users a tutorial on how to set their Familiar Cards and direct them to it right away
2. Move reactions and durations out of the log and onto the GUI
3. Stricter timeouts / a real timer / Timeout options

It is very difficult to get into the same match with a friend. When my girlfriend tries to join my table, as she scrolls through the list of tables, it starts auto scrolling at a high rate, which is annoying as hell. Then, sometimes when she finds my table, the join option is inexplicably missing, even the spectate option is gone.

Ideally, she could click on my table from the friends list if I have an open slot. Or at least search by name on the table list. Or at least sort the table list by name, player availability, etc. Or at least be able to scroll through the list without it zooming past every entry even after she stops scrolling.

She can click on your table from the Matching tab (see circled areas in the picture). If she's unable, you may have the rating settings set too strictly (or something else).

Hover over their name and you can see the mats. I don't know how this works on mobile, and I agree there should be some indication that this is possible.

This is a known bug and it's being fixed next release (supposedly today).

In some sense this isn't a big deal either way because it's something someone will figure out when they make the mistake one time. It's literally a 50/50 guess up until then. I think changing it over and over just makes it more confusing; they picked a way to make it work and should stick with that. I do see the point that it needs to reflect the text on the card, but as far as the online implementation goes, whatever is more intuitive is probably better.

With that said, I do like Rabid's color suggestion, though I can't say if it's color-blindness friendly or not.

Dear JSH - "For all we know this person is just mad they didn't get a free thing" That's really nice. I express my opinion and according to you I'm trying to get something.
"there is no specific problem mentioned in the post and it looks like an observation rather than an experience" I would have to write a book to explain the various problems not to mention the issues are not finite. They change from week to week. Some appear, some go away, etc. I play on three different devices. The issues are different depending on which I am using. I have reached out and was told to go to the forum. I am not a tech savvy gamer. I am a retiree. There might be more of us out there than you think. My post was not angry, just honest. It takes a certain type of personality to stick your neck out by posting on this forum. Not everyone has the guts. Like previously stated in other posts, there is a silent majority. They will lose interest if the problems are not resolved.

I'm not saying you don't have a potential point or that your opinion doesn't matter, but your post did not mention the issues you had found, and neither did this one. You once again just claimed there were tons of issues, with is completely vague with regard to what actually needs to be fixed. This is why I don't see it as adding to any kind of conversation; my disagreement was entirely with LF's "well-stated!" claim, not your post necessarily. Venting about a general perception of there being issues is fine and all, but it certainly isn't productive.

I am a social misfit who can barely stand talking to people on the phone, so I can feel the pain of people not having the guts to reach out somewhere, but it's actually not worth exploring at this point how many of those people are out there. There being/not being a majority of them ultimately doesn't help the developers out as they are still developing the game. Maybe that will change in the future and they'll focus on marketing, but that's not where we are. In my opinion, it's much better for the developers to focus on adding new features than to spend time reading posts like these. After all, let's say they finish an ios port--that fixes the game for a bunch of people complaining and they didn't even have to trudge through a bunch of internet posts about feelings!

A post explaining specific issues/suggesting fixes is just better than acknowledging some people aren't happy to the wind. Plenty of posters here are being productive in the various bug report and feature suggestion threads; threads that become a bunch of blabbering like this aren't really. General complaining is just a smokescreen wasting time should the developers actually spend time reading it.
