Support for multi player games
- match button to find 3-4P games (similar to the 2P buttons)
- better friend's overview with their current status (logged in / waiting / playing / spectating)
(regardless the status one should be able to chat with friends to make appointments)

Game tracer
- graphical log instead of text with cards gained, bought, trashed etc.
- player cockpit with set-aside cards, mats, durations, optional acustic alerts etc.

Attractiveness and game design
- current layout is more technical and functional rather than being fascinating, smooth and sexy
- game attracts more the experienced players rather than casual ones or newbies
- more communication and marketing to the community to get their buy-in for 2018

Thx for the leaderboard

Ok, here we go - thx, Tufftaeh.

Here's my suggestion for a revised matching tab
- more space for the friends list without cumbersome scrolling
- adding one more column with the friend's levels (could be split into 2P/3P)
- header with "find a rated game" to make more clear, that those games influence the leaderboard

In case this section will be enhanced for games with 3-4P there is enough place for additional buttons (e.g. equal opponent 2P / equal opponent 3-4P etc.)

I really appreciate the new matching tab with its selections for rated/practice and humans/bots.
Due to the fact that some buddy lists are quite long, and a lot of friends might be shown on the bottom of the matching tab it would be great to re-arrange the layout of the 3 text boxes.
This will give the friends section better readability without scrolling.

I have made a little "screenshot" as a possible solution for that to be easily implemented within the next releases, but I am unable to upload the picture into this post here. There is a button "insert image", but nothing happens with copy/paste - can somebody give me hint how to do this ?

To boost the "burning skull feeling"  :D  I recommend the organ version of Rac's 'Isle of the Dead' with HJ Albrecht - you will find it on Spotify and Apple Music - hardcore for your speakers and also for your ears ... - and for sure no music for sunny sundays ...

Я очень хочу играть, но ничего не понятно. Пожалуйста, помогите!!!

I am surprised that I was able to understand this without resorting to Google Translate

Ok, I had to resort to the online translators which said to me something like "I want to play much more, but nothing is clear – so please help me !!

I am quite struggling with this, because I heard about Burning Skull being a very experienced player with several (English) posts in the Dominion Strategy forum as well – so perhaps I missed something, or the post was meant as an ironical one (and I didn't get the point) – or it is a kind of general complaint which somebody can take into account, if it would be more precise.

Nevertheless, Burning Skull, be my first Russian (or Russian speaking) buddy on my list ... my user name is Rachmaninoff, which is Russian as well, but I am more familiar with Russian music rather than with Russian language.

Just wondering, that really so many players are awaiting a German or Japanese version, because this was announced in the last post from Stef

http://forum.shuffleit.nl/index.php?topic=1588.msg5510#msg5510

Yet with the Russian version some weeks ago I was asking myself "wow, why is this that important to be implemented more or less first?":

    - I am doing quite a lot of games, but never met any player from Russia or Japan, and if so, they could speak English
    - I am German, and I am being used to the English cards since years (Goko, MF) – so I'll rather don't switch to the German version, because I am sure, the new card titles will confuse me (but I will give it a try)
    - In the thread "what I am missing most" I am not aware that anyone had the wish of further language versions[/li]
...  so there must be something else what gives priority to it.

Perhaps I have the totally wrong world view on the market potentials of Dominion – so please see this post more under the circumstances of my own curiosity rather than criticising this.
If I had to give a guess to the distribution of players, I would say 90% are located in Europe and USA – and nearly 98% of those speak English – so my personal view is dominated from English speaking buddies ... - and my assumption is, that only a little minority is waiting for translations ...

... but perhaps this has to be revised soon, so welcome on board all you Russians, Japanese and non-English-speaking Germans – are there really so many of you?
(but ok, I am quite aware that this English forum is not the best communication platform to address this group of players ...  ;))

Interface Issues / Re: Matching -> Friendlist buggy

Generally the activity status in the matching tab is somehow ,,mysterious" – is there somewhere a legend with an overview of all current status and their intent ?

In practise I press "join" and mostly find my buddies somewhere – so finally the given status are not really that relevant for me. From this point of view I suggest the following reduction in the status variety:

logged in       newly logged in, but no further actions since then
perhaps just creating a new table, but not yet ready)

waiting         table is ready, but game hasn't started, so waiting for other players
(should be the default status after the game has ended)
(amount of players might be senseful to see)

playing         actively playing, game is up and running
(don't know, if host or not-host is a relevant information)

spectating      sitting at table, but never played there

All 4 status can be joined or not-joined (based on the friends list and dependent from the game options).
All status should be updated live – not only when I repress "matching tab".
"Disconnected" which is today in the activity list, is irrelevant, because the player is offline anyway.

PS @ SkyHard: and of course the list should contain all online friends from your list - so far I didn't made similar experiences, that friends who should be there, aren't there - but perhaps my buddy list is too long to have a clear overview about that ...

Feature Requests / Re: Kid mode

Really nice post here ...  :D

Coming back to the ,,goons" and its German card name ,,Halsabschneider": the literal translation might really lead into the word "cutthroat" in the meaning of murderer or assassin.

Normally in Germany the word "Halsabschneider" isn't used like that, it describes more a person who fleeces someone (by taking too much money, by ruining his existence etc.) – another idiom I found could be "to take somebody to the cleaners"(which I never heard before), but what could hit the point.

So "Halsabschneider" aren't nice people at all, but normally they let you alive – so at the end the German edition uses a better description what the card really does rather than only being a "silly goon". By the way the picture on the card fits to the German meaning and doesn't show a killer on the road.

@ Jacob Marley
Mmh, my initial idea was to reward those resigned wins with additional points due to the fact that the victory was so overwhelming, that the opponent even resigns. What I mean is, that a win with a big difference of VP should be more weighted than a closer win with only 2 points difference – so why not adding some points in addition when your opponent is resigning – just an idea for those people like me thinking positive about their opponents.

But you are right, the reality is not only positive and even our nice community here is obviously interspersed with bad behaviour – so I agree, that the additional reward could guide the leading player into the wrong direction by slowing down the game to enforce the opponent to resign – which was certainly not my intention in my former post to get a reward for attitudes like that.

Given the fact, that the future ranking system might not distinguish between good and bad behaviour, it will be difficult to get my idea operationalised, so I should refrain from it. But finally it leaves me a little bit frustrated, that a little minority of misusers is being able to undermine everything and anything which was well-meant.

Hi Jaina,

please try this as a workaround from Icehawk.
It helps me a lot to repeat kingdom cards after a finished game.

http://forum.shuffleit.nl/index.php?topic=1380.msg

It might not be exactly the same thing you are looking for, because it doesn't archive kingdom sets for all times to be re-played later on, but it gives you the chance to have a closer look on the kingdom after the game has ended.

I am not a resign fan at all – but I can understand, that there are situations where resigning will be a win-win for both parties. A little chat IMHO will help to get agreement for all players rather than leaving the table without any word.
But coming back to your suggestion, Stef, the (optional) continuation of the resigned game by replacing the missing player with an AI sounds much better than leaving the remaining player with its half-finished turn. At least the active player will get the opportunity to play and test his successful engine and to bring it into a triumphal finish ...
In regards to the future ranking (which hopefully will come soon), the win of a resigned game should be rewarded by getting more points. This should be done independently from the bots replacement – the voting is done when the resign happened, the bots are only for avoiding / mitigating the coitus interruptus feeling without any influence on the final result.

Card Bugs / Re: Scheme + Herbalist
02 March 2017, 11:36:23 AM
In the Dominion Wiki the following is stated as "Synergies/Combo" in regards to Herbalist with Scheme:

"With Scheme, Herbalist can be used to keep putting the same treasure back on top over and over without having to buy up lots of terminal Herbalists."

http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/index.php/Herbalist

So this might be not a concrete answer yes or no to the initial post, but from my view this indicates the combination Herbalist/Scheme as a good one which perfectly works together regardless the order of discarding.
So I am more with Markus, that it is a system bug.

Here is my wishlist for the Top3:

Leaderboard tab
- please not only for 2P games – it should include also 3-4P games
- as an alternative there are several sub-leaderboards (2P / multiP / daily, weekly, monthly boards etc)
- report of last x game numbers with results per player (to be re-loaded again)

Lobby tab
- to get rid of the unuseful table tab
- chat with friends without joining tables
- graphical lobby with all players and tables and status (to join, to spec, private or public)
- leaderboard level of players to be shown in the lobby as well

Game visualization and text log reduction
- show game interactions more visually (to get rid of the text game log)
- show slow-motion summary of the last 1-2 turns per player (press replay button)

Hi Limbo,
I like your approach advertising here in the forum for some introduction sessions for newbies to get more familiar with Dominion online. Obviously there is a lack of other possibilities doing this, because the current platform isn't (yet) equipped for requests like that.
On the one hand there is the "Good game" button getting joined with mostly fast and skilled players - which can end up in a nightmare for players being on a learning curve (even if they own several sets). On the other hand the other match buttons might let you stick in the base sets too often or the games are bots-driven, which gives no support for learners.
So for the future lobby I suggest having a new "training corner" for interested newbies to get in contact with more experienced players giving support. Those games should be labeled as "classroom games" to explicitely allow slow turns and open discussions about the kingdom cards.

Limbo, I will put you on my friends list to get in touch with you via the matching tab, in case you are online. I strongly recommend having a skype channel in place for our training sessions, because talking about the game is much smoother than chatting. So if you don't mind my German English (and my German time zone), be my guest.
Perhaps some others are interested as well.

You will find me under user name: Rachmaninoff

Hi guys,

hiding the VP counter is possible.
Please go to "edit table" / "advanced options" / checkmark "show VP counter"

This doesn't impact the log display, but the pointer display is turned off.
