There is no functionality that does anything with usernames and/or passwords as url parameters. Additionally, we never change the url you entered, which means that if there are any parameters, you either typed them in yourself, clicked on a link already containing them, or a 3rd party application/browser extension mangled with it.

Just to check: are you talking about our Dominion Online application at https://dominion.games ? What exactly does the suspicious url look like? What browser are you using, and do you have any extensions installed that might affect something like this?

I agree that it's generally good sportsmanship to only resign on your turn, however, I also feel it is very poor sportsmanship to "decksturbate" your last turn rather than winning the game expeditiously. If an opponent has enough coins to win and end the game, but instead proceeds to chain a bunch of actions together to draw their whole deck or pull off that Really Cool Combo, I won't hesitate to resign in the middle of it.

How fast does the last turn have to be compared to a normal turn? It sounds like you're just feeling impatient because you lost. I know, I feel that too. I try to control it. I really notice that it's a cultural thing. Before, everybody would have the patience to wait one more turn (out of 25-50). Now, the culture is that people are resigning during the last turn; people are doing it to you all the time, so why should you have to wait for a turn that is one second longer than it needs to be? The mere presence of this button during the last turn fosters this culture.

On Goko and MF you could also resign at any point during the game. Personally I prefer if my opponent lets me finish my last turn, but ultimately that decision is up to him and not something that should be enforced from above.

Interface Issues / Re: Undo and Timeout
24 February 2017, 11:46:51 AM
Undo requests don't affect time-out. What I would do if my opponent issues the same undo request for the third time in a row is just ignore the thing and let him time out. Either he comes to his senses or it's, quite literally, his loss.

If there's sufficient interest we can add a user preference that lets you flip the journey token flip behaviour.

For now you can right click your browser tab and select "Mute Tab". We'll add an option to disable sounds soon.

You can right click your browser tab and select "Mute Tab" to turn off the sounds for that tab only.

Version 1.1.2

  • Client-side reconnect: when you log in, a session token is kept in local storage that will automatically log you in the next time you enter the page. To prevent this from happening (e.g. because you share your device with other people), you can click "Logout" in the bottom right of the lobby page.
  • The journey token is now visible in players' info bars. Note that it behaves differently from the Making Fun version: if it's colored, this means on the next play you will get the big journey bonus; if it's grayed out, you will not.
  • Add sounds to the score screen to accompany your game result.
  • Fix: Tiny reveal windows under certain aspect ratios.
  • Fix: BoM and Overlord don't show the types of the impersonated card.
  • Fix: Games with bots with minplayers < maxplayers refused to start.

Additional minor changes:

  • Version number now links to release notes.
  • Change ready text for bots to 'Bot Ready'.
  • Change 'Cancel' to 'Cancel & Resign' on reconnecting screen.

Version 1.1.2.1

Fix: games containing Black Market refused to start.

You shouldn't have to wait for anything longer than at most a few seconds, so this is a bug.

And finally, I have discovered that yes in fact clicking cancel while the system tries to reconnect you does send you back to the lobby, where you are able to start another game while your original opponent waits. At this point I have found you are not able to rejoin the game, even as a spectator. Not sure if there are any further investigations I can do on this matter at the moment. Hope this information is helpful.

When a player clicks the cancel button when he's about to rejoin a game, he's thereby resigning. The idea is that the player still in the game gets notified of this immediately (i.e. by being presented the end screen), but I just confirmed that somehow this is not the case.

Just a note that the original post indicates this was on an iPad.

I know, but he reported the same behavior on PC, where it's much easier to collect data from.

I can't reproduce it on either PC, Mac or iPad.

About a week ago, was fine beforehand. The same thing is happening on my PC. I checked my internet settings and pop-ups are allowed etc.

Can you post a screenshot from your PC? Does it behave like this in both Chrome and Firefox? Do other cards that have reveal functionality (e.g. Cartographer) work fine? Does the browser console show any errors?

Card Bugs / Re: Can't Duplicate Sir Michael

Warning messages for a range of specific scenarios that have to be hard-coded in aren't a great solution; they are also not needed because we have the undo function for situations like the one you describe.

If your opponent doesn't take any action for 4 minutes you can make him resign. This is independent of any outstanding undo requests, which don't count towards anything because an answer to them isn't needed for the game to continue.

Vengil, can you confirm that when you right-click on a card in your hand during the game nothing happens? See the screenshot attached to this post for the expect behavior of right-clicking either the Hermit in my hand or the Hermit supply pile.

If this indeed doesn't work, could you try it in Chrome to see what it does?
