In the Steam / Google Play / Apple store app, you can put in an email address, if that was the email address you used to buy sets on the previous Goko / Making Fun app, you will get access to all the sets you bought on the old app.

Unfortunately in the complicated world of Dominion, it is possible for more things to happen in the middle of an attack resolution, so they have to be resolved one at a time. IRL you get to shortcut things like this but computers need to follow the rules.

As a slightly contrived example, player A plays Militia. Player B discards, but discards a Tunnel, which they react to gain a Gold. This allows them to react a Sheepdog in their hand, but they play it as Way of the Mouse which is acting as Vassal, which discards and plays a Witch. Now player C gets to react a Watchtower to trash the incoming Curse. Player A gains a Curse. Now Player C discards to the Militia attack and discards their Watchtower.

There's no way to deal with shenanigans like the above without just stepping through everything. And OK, you could argue, maybe there's a way to allow people to preselect discard attacks while waiting on other players, and work out when cards are present that may require a slower resolution and only slow down in that case, but this sort of code would get extremely complicated in a hurry, and changing the UI in some cases or constantly asking players to reconsider their preselected choices would also be pretty bad.

Some cards just aren't great for games with large player counts. For example, there's no possible way to come up with an interface to speed up Jester resolution, which mandates a decision per opponent in a specific order.

Yes, ratings erode a tiny bit each day you don't play. You can find all the details about the ratings here: http://forum.shuffleit.nl/index.php?topic=1679.0

But the short summary is: there are three things that contribute to your overall level, and the most important two represent your "true skill" and "variance". True skill goes up or down when you play based on whether you won or lost, and proportionally to the skill difference between players (win against more skilled players for bigger increases in skill). Variance goes down by playing games, and up slightly if you don't play, representing your ability deteriorating over time if you stop playing, and to prevent inactive players sitting on a top spot forever.

The rulebook states "Choose 10 Kingdom cards, however you like". So the rules do allow for things that modify the rates that cards will appear in your games with dislike lists etc.

This online client does not break any official game rules as far as I am aware.

Our brains are very good at finding patterns, even when they do not exist. If you want to claim that the kingdom generation is not sufficiently random, you're going to need to analyze a sample size much larger than one day of games played by one person. Sufficiently random generation will still occasionally display clumped results within a small sample, so your examples still fall within the likelihood of 1/n chance distributed evenly.

Its because they trashed it with Catapult.

When you trash with Catapult, up to two attacks may happen based on what was trashed:

  • If the card cost 3 or more (e.g. Flag Bearer, which costs 4) your opponents gain a Curse
  • If the card was a Treasure (e.g. Copper), opponents discard down to 3

These criteria are checked independantly. If the card fulfils both (e.g. Silver), both attacks happen.

Quori, do you have example game ids of this behaviour you speak of? I am curious because what I am understanding based on your description does not sound toxic or shitty at all, but rather just someone overbuilding due to inexperience, and I'm wondering if I'm getting the wrong idea.

Looks fine to me.

Action 1: Church
Action 2: Estate
Action 3: The set-aside Conspirator

You might be thinking of the original wording of Inheritance, which would have only been two action card plays.

I used the word
"Fembot" / "Femoid"
These words treat women like they aren't people, and you only ever find them in grossly mysogynistic online subcultures like incels. If you think these words aren't offensive slurs, you need to reevaluate where you hang out online and take a hard look at the culture they perpetuate. These are not goofy joke terms. If you went to a real life boardgame meetup and used these terms, you would get banned and asked to not return pretty much immediately.

It's not a bug. Reread the way carefully. Bolding mine:
QuoteFollow this card's instructions; each time that would give you +Cards this turn, you get +$ instead, and vice-versa.

The official rulebook explains more explicitly
QuoteIf you play a Duration card using Way of the Chameleon, only the +$ and +Cards you get that turn are affected; for example, if you play Merchant Ship (from Seaside) and use Way of the Chameleon, you will get +2 Cards this turn, but the normal +$2 next turn.

You're being trolled, both times by the same antisocial loser.

If someone were to be considered actually playing slow, they would be taking minutes between most card plays.

The official Menagerie rulebook is clear:
QuoteExiling a card from the Supply is not "gaining" the card, and will not cause "when you gain this" abilities to happen

Way of the Chameleon says "this turn" on its text to explicitly rule out using its effect on duration effects that activate on future turns. This was due to issues with remembering what you chose when playing IRL.

The official rule book is pretty clear:

"If you play a Duration card using Way of the Chameleon, only the +$ and +Cards you get that turn are affected; for example, if you play Merchant Ship (from Seaside) and use Way of the Chameleon, you will get +2 Cards this turn, but the normal +$2 next turn"

General Discussion / Re: About Death Cart

Death Cart was changed in the 2019 card erratas:

http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/index.php/Dominion_2019_Errata_and_Rules_Tweaks

As far as I am aware, the new version of the card you see online is not available in a real-life physical form yet, but will be when Dark Ages is next reprinted.

General Discussion / Re: 50% militia

This means you've put it on your dislike list, so it has only 50% of the usual chance to show up, so you should see it half as often as any other card.

It's not boosted in frequency, it's reduced.
