My two cents:
I understand the idea, but this is "just another" variant. The important thing was said in post one:
Speed Dominion is not Dominion
In other threads, other variants have been discussed. To name a few:
- start with same hands (both 4/3 or both 5/2)
- Handicap the better player by a starting deck of CCCCCCEEEE
- veto cards out of the kingdom
All this variants have one thing in common: they are not dominion, thus there is no big need to add them to the online game.

Lets make a case and a variant: I dont like ppl playing token engines with goons or bishop. So here is my variation: Every time a player gets more than 7 VP in a single turn, the player has do finish a shot of vodka. This way, the player can still play his engine but I will always have a real chance to catch up with buying only provinces.

This solution does not need to be limited to pre-turn 1. I would really like an "accept draw?" button, but I fear someone would find a way to play the leaderboard with it.

Actually, I love the concept of "double or resign" in backgammon so much (its easy, its strategic, its fair, it works) that I would prefer it, but that wouldnt be dominion anymore.

Fun - I just Royal Carriaged a 6$ Miser 12 times in one turn :-)
I vote for banning the reserve cards until this is solved.

I am not 100% sure if this is a "Card Bugs" or a "Rules Question" Topic.

Game #9677863
Exorcist -> Ghost, Prince + any princed Card

I (WhiteRabbit1981) played agains Tienz.

I got a Ghost from an Exorcist. In turn 12, I played the Ghost in my night phase. It skipped through my deck until it found a Prince.
In Turn 14, I drew a Chariot Race and some other cards.

In my understanding this should have happened: I play the Prince(1) and set it aside together with a Chariot Race. Then I play the Prince(2), which I cannot set aside because it lost track of itself. As I did not set it aside, there is no effect: The card says IF set aside, THEN another card of 4-or-less is chosen.

Here is what actually happend: I played the Prince(1) and set aside the Chariot Race. Immedately Prince(2) resolved and played the very same Chariot Race.

I was not 100% sure if I maybe had two Chariot Races and accidentally clicked one. But in turn 17, my Ghost found a Prince again. To that time, I had a lot of set aside cards and was able to choose the order. I choosed to play the prince to set aside an Encampement after I was 100% sure that I have one and only one Encampenet in my hand. Prince set it aside and immediately played it.

To my understanding, this is a bug. If I am right, I would nicely ask Stef to remove the game from my and Tienz ranking because my win was not legit.

As I can do a little code myself, I have a wild guess. Ghost happens "at the beginning" of my turn, so in the phase I will now call pre-action. Prince(1) played in pre-action sets aside a card. Prince(2) checks, in the pre-action phase, if a card was set aside and plays it. I understand this could be correct from a programmers view, but in my opinion that is highly counter-intuitive.
I would love to hear the correct ruling from DXV.

The "Big Money Only" approach will buy its 4th province around the 15th turn. If you play an engine against Big Money, you have to build it faster than that.

This guide shows the tempi of different engine approaches against big money quite nice. Its 1stEd, but that doesnt matter.

Hello Keymaster,
the AI is ... well, its not very good. Or lets say if there will ever be a slider, the AI as it is now will be on the very very left side of said slider.
Maybe if you can post a log of one of those games, we can tell you at which point your strategy was wrong.

Edge case:
Kingmaking in a 3 player game. You are player one an cannot win anymore but its close between two and three. You leave the points for player two's profit OR take them away (which is indirectly player three's profit).

I love the public table version!
One more maybe:

Friendly table - only ppl from your friendslist may join.
But: those games should all be unranked, so noone can play the ranking by friending / unfriending players.

Edge case is:
My opponent buys the last embargo'd working village, my hand is "3x working village 1x smuggler" and i want to buy peddlers, but not gaining the curse.

I had peddler in mind, but i forgot that you have to pick something with smuggler. In rl, you just say "i play smuggler for nothing and gain all those peddlers"

ok ... how much can a diadem actually be worth?
I'll do the obvious thing first:
Kingdom is Page / Tournament / Port / 7x Village Variant
I have 5 Champions out and play 9 Pages, 9 Tournaments, 5 Treasure Hunters, 12 Ports, 64 Village-Variants and of course the Trusty Steed. Thats 677$ for the diadem.

Anyone bidding more than 677? Maybe with a fancy Black Market Combo?
