I'm not totally sure, but it looks like a certificate had expired. Most were renewed in time early December, then there was one more that expired a week or so ago and now (I think) another one.

I can only guess that players are coming back from the holiday break and at the time you posted the servers would have to deal with a high volume of American players. Why the card images aren't cached is a mystery to me, but a similar report was made recently, I'll ask if something was changed there recently.

It may have been that around the time you posted the site was overloaded (from one other report). I would not expect the pictures to be affected on a browser or device that has played much Dominion before (they are cached), but if it was a new device or caches are not retained that might happen on overload.

I'm sorry to hear that for both of you. I'll ask the developer if there were any payment attempts from those accounts that reached him but that got turned down for whatever reason.

Thanks for the detailed report, AndrewNotEric.

I think the effect of the host is that if you preselect cards to be in the game, that the host needs to own them. Another thing may be that the hosts' upper and lower card level must be consistent with the preselected cards.

For unclear reasons, since some time the game only gives that "internal error" instead of a more detailed error message.

It has been resolved roughly 1h after Potato's message. I assume renewal of one (or more) domain names was forgotten.

I'm not sure what exactly had happened, but the game is working again now. While certificates were renewed in December, I guess at least one domain name was not :-(
