I don't really understand what you want.

You still have exactly the same options as before, except now more people will want to play with you (those that require their opponents to have cards).

If you don't want to play with anything except base cards yourself, then buying a subscription to non-base cards isn't going to help you, but it won't hurt you either. In that case the only thing it does is that you now support the system, and maybe you like the idea of contributing to something you enjoy.

No, it has nothing to do with your username, your name is totally fine. In fact almost all names are fine.

But one of the requirements for the tournament was having a subscription until 15 november. The post with approved tournament signups had your name in red.

Added an option to use bonus codes in the account tab.
German 2E base dominion boxes are printed with such a bonus code.

Version 1.2.15

Players now have a personal option "Spectators can see my cards", which will be effective in all games (rated/unrated, automatched and/or through table selection). Spectators can see all public information, plus any information shared with them by players that have the option selected. The default is to have this option selected, but if you want to play a tournament game you may want to unselect it.

One special account 'dominionstreams' will always be able to see your cards; it will be used to stream highlighted tournament matches on https://www.twitch.tv/dominionstreams with commentators and a stream delay.

No, that is not what familiar cards is for.
If you only want cards from specific expansion(s), you can create your own table and only select the expansions you want. You'll get random cards from the selected expansions.

It doesn't seem like a bug to me.

Sometimes the client has a bit more info then it presents to the user, but that is inherent due to the nature of the game. Dominion has some rules stating you aren't allowed to see things but if you had perfect memory you could know them (e.g. your own discard pile). The client also always has a model of your opponents hand, even though in most cases it will consist of only "backs" and/or old information.

We've been quite careful at restricting the information flow from server->client, and so far I'm not aware of any mistakes. (except for Inn which currently doesn't give enough information).

This is true, and also: both the other players are considered winners and gain rating.

After someone quits, the other players can continue with a bot, and only that continuation is unrated.

some cardfixes:

  • Villa: gaining two at the same time only results in 1 extra buy phase (e.g. with Ball)
  • Black Market: shuffling the deck prevented the game from ending in some cases
  • Young Witch: revealing bane is now logged
  • Wine Merchant: can no longer discard when using Villa to end buy phase
  • Royal Carriage: there was a strange bug where you could sometimes call another players Royal Carriage, e.g. when they played Hamlet as last action without discarding

  • offering timeout on disconnected users was bugged (only worked 50% of the time)
  • friend list didn't remove users that logged out
  • updated ratings were not correctly loaded

I agree that it would be better to have both, and it also could/should be easier to access previous games, or that at least it would be very nice to have all that.

The reason for removing the log from end of game now is a bit technical; the information on the end-of-game screen was a mix between information from the gameserver and information from the metaserver. Now that you're only connected to one, it was easier to present information from only the metaserver. Off course that could be solved by sending the gamelog from game->meta->client, and it will probably work that way in some future release.

Version 1.2.13

This release is mostly about something you shouldn't notice: Until this version you were connected to the metaserver and gameserver simultaneously when playing a game, from now on you will have only 1 connection open at a time.
Too many people have been having connection issues since 1.2.9, I hope this will end those problems.

visible fixes:

  • end of game now contains decklists instead of gamelog
  • Your messages won't pop up automatically unless you have unread messages
  • fix: ambassador
  • visual fix: treasures with variable coin production now have a ?
  • visual fix: treasures with long names didn't fit

Back in the isotropic days I was always a bit annoyed by this rule for exactly the reasons Markus is describing here. Iso was a little more advanced, but people could still influence their 1P/2P rating by playing on or not.

I also thought it could have a nice solution: instead of looking at the previous game this session (what you do IRL) you could look at the previous result between this exact set of players. Obviously IRL that would be a nightmare because of bookkeeping, but online there is this database.

Anyway, I haven't discussed it with Donald yet, unless of course I am doing that right now.
