Waiting on the player from last game

After a game with Opponent 1, when I start a new game in which I am facing Opponent 2, it usually says "waiting for Opponent 1". Is this just a glitch or am I really waiting for last game's player to "leave the table" so I can start another game? And if this is the case, why?

And while we're at it, why does it take sometimes several seconds with the message "Waiting for Altamont" when I'm there and obviously ready to play?

Both cases are the same bug. It doesn't seem to affect anything and will hopefully be fixed soon.
