US user; Can't buy subscription

Hi. New US user here.

When I go to top right Store and attempt to purchase Gold Subscription (with non-EU selected in drop field) by clicking the Buy for XXXXX box... nothing happens. It just reads: You currently have no subscriptions.

What gives? Has this happened for others? US specific problem? Any help?

omg I'm having the same issue. I'm in the U.S. as well. Super annoying. Why are they making it so hard to take our money???

This has been resolved now; please try again.

It did not depend on your country but affected everyone trying to purchase a subscription.

I am now having this issue.  I have Silver subscription and was waiting for Nocturne to buy Gold subscription.  I realize Nocture was just released this past hour...but when I try to purchase Gold it just gives a message:
Your current subscriptions: until Wed Jun 27 2018
Prosperity, Cornucopia, Intrigue, Seaside, Guilds, Promos, Hinterlands

After several tries I got a popup with:

Failed setting up purchase
