how to send a message to another member?
« on: 25 September 2017, 06:08:59 AM »
I have received messages from other players.  When I click on "Reply," I get a place to type a message, of course; and there is also--above that--a blank "To" box.  But when I to into that box and type in a person's username, the box remains blank and now their name appears right below the blank box in a hotlink. (???)

When I type out a message and then click on send, I get a notice that the message was successfully sent.  But nothing shows up in my "sent" folder.  Since I have the responsibility to get in touch with my next opponent in the tournament, how do I ensure that my messages are, in fact, being sent?

Is this system bug unique to me?  Or, a known problem?

No worries the message came through. I think you need to click the checkbox 'save copy in my outbox' to have it in sent Items.

Can also do:

"Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default." Yes

I'm glad it's not just me that was wondering about this. I've changed my profile settings to always save sent messages.

Thanks guys (and gals??),
I had overlooked that setting . . . it was not worded in a way that I had seen before.

Wisdom of the masses, and all that!  ;D
