Necromancer and Pixie
« on: 05 April 2018, 10:28:24 PM »
In my last games (against WilyViking, sorry, I did not note the number), I think I saw necromancer picking pixie, and then pixie choosing trash-for-boon with the boon taking effect. I believe that this should not work (ie the pixie should think "I was not trashed, so no boon").

I may have mis-understood what was happening in the game, of course

Thanks for the report, Tim!

Due to you naming the opponent, it was easy to identify the game. Both you and your opponent played this sequence twice, and each time that player drew a card, got an Action and a Boon was taken and then discarded, *without* the boon being received, so no boon effect took place.

I assume you saw the boon card being shown on your opponent's turn, but that is only an indication that it was taken, not necessarily that it was received. I replayed all 4 cases, and there was never an option given to receive the boon, so this played out as it should have been.
