Governor does NOT remodel. Misleading text.

My fault surely, because I was hasty, but Governor does NOT remodel and I lost a game because I read it.

Remodel says that you can remodel to UP +2, not EXACTLY +2, so I called Governor, chose REMODEL, and trashed a Province to no avail.

The text "REMODEL" is misleading and should be changed as soon as possible.

Which word do you suggest?

"each player may trash a card from their hand and gain a card costing exactly $1 ($2) more, (you get the version in parentheses)"
would be precise but seems a bit long for a button.

" TRASH / GAIN "

Remodel is misleading. I was absentmindedly and plaied it automatically without reflecting and I lost a game I already won.

There's a slightly similar issue with Secret Passage, where it uses the term 'topdeck' quite loosely.

This has never tripped me up, but I see how it could be confusing, since "Remodel" isn't a keyword defined in the game.

"Trash/gain' is more accurate, if a little cumbersome.

Ingix

"Trash/Gain" is a good idea  :), it makes the player aware of what the option does, without misleading as "Remodel" does with the expectation of "up to".

I just noticed that this was updated to "Trash & Gain".

Thanks!
