New UI spins up fans

The new interface on dominion.games causes my computer fan to spin up fast and loud. I only played one game so far, and my laptop sounded like a jet engine. I assume that means it is using substantial energy and processing power.

The old interface never did that for me. Could you please make the site more energy efficient, or at least provide an option for lower power usage?
