"Connection could not be established"
« on: 12 December 2016, 02:01:28 pm »
I get this:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bld5vhw8cxm8wwn/connection.pdf?dl=0

on Windows 7 Professional with Service Pack 1, Firefox 45.5.1.

It's my work computer, so maybe there are some restrictions that I don't know. So the problem might be on my side as well. But I thought I'd let you know.

Cheers,
Voltaire

Maybe HTTPS would help against transparent proxy.

I get the same error on my work computer. The office network is channeled through a proxy as well, so i assume this is where the problem comes from. Making Fun's client cannot connect either, but as other browser games work without problems, it should be solvable somehow.

With the new version the problem is fixed for me. The Client runs now perfectly on my office PC.

Thanks for fixing!  :)

Not let me enter the game tells me that the server is closed gives me the option to retry but does not take me anywhere. What I can do?

We are now running on port 443, which is very common to have opened up, but maybe it's closed on your computer/network. Could you try visiting this page?

"Websockets supported" should say yes; if it doesn't you will have to switch to a different browser that actually supports them.
"WebSockets (Port 443, SSL)" should also have the green yes symbols... if it doesn't either your network or your firewall blocks this port.

Adblock or another browser extension could also block the websocket connection.

I think there is an issue with https://websockettest.com website. It shows me that I am not connected either.

Test on https://www.websocket.org/echo.html works. You need to click on "Connect" and then "Send" to test.
You should see this in the log:

 CONNECTED

SENT: Rock it with HTML5 WebSocket

RECEIVED: Rock it with HTML5 WebSocket
