I was possessing my opponent and I played Wild Hunt. I chose estate and points, it gave neither player the points (should have given me 3 points)

Wild hunt is "if you gain" the Estate, then gain VP.
So the Possessions "other player gains rule" gets in the way.
Therefore no VP token gain.
