[Herbalist/Way of the Mouse]

  • Added Herbalist/Way of the Mouse bug where playing Herbalist using Way of the Mouse playing a Duration card causes the "When discard" ability of Herbalist to trigger even when it stays in play until next turn.

That's not a bug, that's how the process looks from the other player's view. Due to changes in rules last year in September/October, cards in the discard pile can no longer be "lost" by having other card(s) go on top of them. Instead you are allowed to look through your discard pile to "find" the card.

In this case, the Devil's Workshop got to your opponent's discard pile, then the Sleigh was discarded on top of it. So now your opponent can "find" the Devil's Workshop (because the Sleigh effect wants to move it) by looking through their discard pile, as it is no longer on top. The rules say if it's not on top you can look through your whole discard pile.

But you are only allowed to take the Devil's Workshop (and the online game makes sure of that). That it says "a card" in the log is just an artifact of how this was setup before the rules change and hasn't been changed yet.

In automatch, that is currently not possible. If you make your own tables, you can instead of selecting a specific card into a slot, also select a specific expansion from which the card comes (click on the symbol of the expansion in the top area of the kingdom selector). So you could have 2-3 cards forced to come from Alechemy, and the rest still from all other expansions.

The general discussion is how a player can setup to limit what cards they are exposed to in automatch, without being able to tightly control the kingdoms. Limting to Silver subs would then be a special case.

But no good solutions have been found yet.

No, I don't think so. If you have no sub, you can choose to play base only games, but if you Wait for/Prefer expansions, you can be matched with anyone, who may have a Silver or Gold sub.

If you have a sub, the same basically applies, you cannot choose to only play with Silver sub expansions.

You can put in 000 or something like that as the game number, if you don't have it any more. It's not optimal, but of course a report with some missing data is better than no report at all, especially if the chat is as offensive as you write.

If you are facing an opponent that is abusive, like making toxic remarks in chat or threatening you, or who is slow-playing you (taking minutes between playing Copper after Copper, for example, which is not to be confused with a player thinking for a while from time to time what to do), please report this using the following Google form:

The reports can only be seen by a few mods, and it helps keeping all the information in one place. You need to enter a few pieces of information (like involved players and a game ID), then describe what happeneded. If possible, copy the chat from the chat window if that is relevant.

We discourage players posting the reports publicly (like here), because in the past there were a few cases of backlash from the reported on players to the players that made the reports.

Of course, also make sure to blacklist the player (click the lightning bolt icon for them during or after the game), so you are not matched with them any more in automatch (among other things). The action against the player may take some time (evaluation what exactly "toxic" is is hard to make in some cases).

The rating drops every day when someone doesn't play a rated game. Of course the argument can be made if it drops enough.
