Card Bugs / Re: Inheritance + Crossroads Bug
17 November 2018, 11:16:10 PM
Crossroads says:
Reveal your hand. +1 Card per Victory card revealed. If this is the first time you played a Crossroads this turn, +3 Actions.

When you play an Estate (inheriting Crossroads), you're still playing an Estate, so it is not the first time you're playing a Crossroads and you don't get the +3 Actions.

But the bug sounds to be that you should be able to repay your debt there in the buy phase?

That was part of the (pre-) Renaissance update. When you select Kingdom cards / expansions there are the expansion symbols at the top. Clicking them will add one random card from the respective expansion to the kingdom.
At the bottom you can now select landscapes and whether they should be Events, Landmarks, Projects (or a combination).

You should be able to spend your Coffers when you play Black Market (e.g. with Capitalism) in the buy phase.

Online release is dependent on physical release of Renaissance. I think the expectation is next week.

AI bugs / Re: Is Vassal working properly?

You almost convinced me that I remembered incorrectly and there was no button. But there is, as you can see in the screenshot.
Maybe you got confused by "play action" and thought it referred to something in your hand? There could be a bug of course, but it would be something more convoluted.

AI bugs / Re: Hamlet not giving "Both" option

If you want to do both, you need to discard for action first, and then discard for buy. That follows the card text now, and there are edge cases when it matters (in theory at least).

Vassal first discards the card. Then, you can play it, if you want. There's a play button that you have to click for that.

Card Bugs / Re: Overpay doctor has an off-by-one error

This has consfused me in the past. I'm not sure whether you can call it "one-off", because the question is simply whether the card I'm looking it counts or not for remaining cards.
A clearer formulation could be "x more (after this)" and "last card".

Card Bugs / Re: Den of Sin and Develop

I'm sure there's some official explanation out there.

The way I understand it is: cards have a default gain location. For most cards that is the discard pile, some are gained to your hand or the top of your deck. If something else instructs you to put it somewhere else, that takes precedence over the default location.
If you develop into a Silver: it's obvious to everyone that the silver goes to the top of your deck, even though the rules say that you put gained cards in your discard pile (Develop "overwrites" that rule.). The reason that it's less natural for Den of Sin is that the gain to hand is seen as a bonus that you lose when Develop puts it to the top of your deck instead. But it's the same overwriting of the default gain location.

Almost...give me one more year and I'll also remember the details.  ::)

It should go to the draw pile, but I assume that's what you meant to write.
Develop indeed takes precedence: Den of Sin means that the card goes to hand instead of discard pile first. Develop then moves it to the top of the deck.

Interface Issues / Re: card on top of discard

I think it's fine, if the first thing is done:
-) put one card that was in play on top of the discard pile.

Yes, there are few turns when you just pass. But having to select one of the cards to go on top of the discard seems like adding insult to injury. For sure, having this as the default option would be just confusing to the average player. And having it as optional seems too much effort and not the most relevant part of info leakages.

I'd rather have a random around 1 second pause, when the opponent has to discard something, but only has copies of 1 card such that it's done automatically.

The thing that has changed is that autoplaying all treasures doesn't use Silver to trash anymore. You need to click at the Silver in hand to play and trash.
If you accidentally played all treasures you can undo that decision immediately without your opponent having to approve.

Can you make sure that either "rated game" or "practice game" is ticked?
