I have been unable to login past the castle loading screen since yesterday. My internet is working fine for everything else. I've tried on both chrome and safari. Is there something else I should try?

Your account is probably stuck in a cRasheed game. When logging in, after typing in your login info, click the "kick&resign" button appearing below, then log in.
Regarding confirmation, you can now go to the account tab, type in your email and get a link emailed to you to confirm your email address.
