Maybe I missed it, but I would like to have a global chat where I can socialize with my fellow addicts.
So far I am rather pleased with what you fellas have cooked up. Keep up the good work.

While we certainly can make some improvements for chat (like direct chat with a friend), I don't think we'll be adding an in-game global chat. However, we do have a general-chatter channel on our discord server (https://discord.gg/pyjhQm7) which is basically intended for what you just asked.
I'm glad that global chat is not planned. MF's feature was more of an annoyance than useful. Since the discord server is moderated, it should be a much better place for discussion.
