Yeah, the same update that allowed you to click the version number for patch notes (an excellent change) also lets you log in automatically (another excellent change). Unfortunately, the second change makes the first change hard to use.
In addition to SkyHard's suggestion, could you also show the date of the latest release? That would let me know whether there are new release notes to read without my having to memorize the current version number, and notice that it's changed. Thanks!

Great idea. Also link to the aktual version not the first one (was already suggested IIRC).
