Unless I'm mistaken, I believe Inherited Estates are Action-Victory cards and when trashed with Sacrifice should result in +2 VP, and +2 Cards +2 Actions; similar to Sacrificing Mill or Nobles. Yet, in the below game I only received 2 VP.

I think it's correct. Sacrifice checks the card's type after you trash it (since the "trash a card" text is before the "if it's an action/treasure/victory" text). The Estate is no longer yours when it's in the trash, so it's just an Estate.
Ah, that makes sense. And I remember now other rare cases when this same rule (an Estate is no longer yours when it's in the trash, so it's just an Estate) has come up for other cards. Looks like I was mistaken after all and the client has it correct.
