Dear Forum,
I really prefer longer games and would like to make more Provinces available in a game (not just 8 for 2 players for example). Can this be done and if yes, how?

No, that can't be done right now. :(
It is also very, very unlikely that this will be implemented. The online version adheres very close to the rules of the original paper game, and those rules dictate the number of cards in each pile.
Generally, when Colony/Platinum are present in games they last longer, as players often build their decks to be able to get those cards. In the Kingdom Selection screen of a table you create you can change the default bahaviour (random) to "Yes" by clicking twice on the "Colony" button in the lower left corner. That option is available for all players (no need for a subscription).

tahnks a lot for the advice! I enjoy playing online a lot more now. Using the card game we often even put in blank cards as Provinces to make the game more about long-lasting improvement of the deck.
The bots are still mainly going after the Provinces, not the Colonies, but when you use for example the Embargo on the Provinces you can slow them down additionally.
