Yeah, I just checked it again, and even with a full pile of curses, the bot will invariably choose to discard their entire hand. This strikes me as not . . . smart gameplay.

When one plays Ambassador, the player chooses by clicking the card of which he wishes to discard up to two copies. However, there is no undo option for this initial selection, which means if you accidentally click, say, a Province, you're going to be forced to discard that Province. An undo option would be helpful.

When played, Torturer offers the opponent two choices: discard 2 cards, or take a curse. The official rules for the card specify that, even when the curse pile is empty, the opponent may choose to take a curse, and take nothing. They are not forced to discard. There is either a problem with what options are being allowed here in that circumstance, or there is a serious AI problem, because when I have chained torturers together, and the curse pile is empty, the bot opponent invariably discards all of the cards. This has made for some amazing blow-out games, but it's not how torturer is actually supposed to work. Or else the bots are just dumb?

I see option to make colonies/shelters random. What about platinums?

I have a similar question, so I'll just throw it here. I was trying to play with a friend for the first time last night, and the randomization was incredibly poor. Like, every game had a Smithy, a Village, a Witch, Gardens etc. except there might be like one random card from some later set. The fact that this random card came from a variety of sets, and the fact that if I manually chose which Kingdom cards to include, we could have cards from any set, leads me to believe this is not a problem with my companion marking cards as familiar or not, but just a serious problem with randomization. I thought I'd bring this up, in case you were looking for issues to address.

Hi, I received the email inviting me over, and I'm excited to give it a try. One thing, though: because I had paid for them at the previous host, I have a subscription for all sets except Empires. But I don't see any option to pay to receive Empires. I only see two subscription options--silver and gold, but I don't have to pay to subscribe to all the gold sets just to get Empires, right?

Right, you only pay the difference between what you choose and what you already have. The listed price takes this into account.
