Definitely think that the 7th game should be the end of the match.  People do have real lives and there's nothing constructive about playing 10+ games of Dominion just to break a tie.

That being said, if I enter, I certainly will not complain if I am victim of this.

Agreed 100%, speaking as someone likely to play lots if rounds and thus potentially tiebreak...

Hi! I just left a message saying I'd like to signup on the sign up thread but I'm not exactly sure how you would link this account to my dominion account? I'm not sure if I had an account automatically on this site if I had a dominion account but i registered the same email.

Just wanna make sure I'm actually signed up for this! I just bought a gold membership so I don't want to be mistakenly left out!

If your username here is the same as on Dominion Online, you are fine. Otherwise, go edit your post to include your username that you play with.

Regarding game 7, I think that it is kind of a win if the second player gets to a draw. So I would be rather worried that it's too big of an advantage to be the (random) first player. But I don't think that there's a way around which doesn't involve potentially playing a lot more games.

The game rules have called the result of the game a draw. I don't see why the tournament rules are attempting to change that. The tournament rules should reflect the game rules as closely as possible.

Any game with draws has the possibility of needing lots of games to break a tie. I think that the very small chance of this happening is worth the integrity you gain by actually respecting the result given by the game.

You should propose a better solution, then. I agree that it's not a perfect one, but I also don't want to play 8 or 9 game sets.

You may be misunderstanding Champion. It essentially means you can play action cards with no action cost.

A Gold membership means you have access to all expansions, including Empires. (Nocturne, which hasn't been released yet, will not count for the tournament)

The leader board updates at 0:00 London time, 1 hour from this post.

Support / Re: How do I report a player?

You should have a message in your Inbox when you log in about what to do. If a player does this, resign to him and blacklist him (with the lightning bolt icon). Banned users do not get counted on the leaderboard, and we can investigate to find users to ban if you blacklist them.

Will it be part of an existing subscription level?

Like Empires did for MakingFun account rollovers, Nocturne will increase the cost of the Gold subscription, so current Gold subscribers will need to add it on.

Alt + prtscr takes a shot of just the current window.

With that said, it is sufficient to blacklist these users. Posting screenshots is just giving them attention.

New name tonight DusconnectOnPurpose. Has to be same slow roller, just worse. Plays one card, disconnects, comes back on just in time to play another. Please ban him.You need to change rules. This worse than four minutes per turn. He's taking four minutes per CARD, right now.

He's still doing the same thing, so still deal with him the same way. (Resign & Blacklist) Thanks. There might be a better solution later, but this is what we have right now.

You don't need to worry. I know it's frustrating that I'm not really explaining anything, but I don't want to give trolls more information about how we're identifying accounts.

You recently sent letter about slow players. I had reported one. I think I just encountered same the same player with a different name.  SloMoDisconnect. Announced intention to slow play game. I took pic of dialog. Then I resigned and blocked him, per your instructions. My fear is that this same person different name.

Yes, it is the same person, but the protocol for dealing with them is the same.

Just started a game when the other player offered to disconnect to give me the win.  User name was not very creative about this purpose, and per the recent announcement, I resigned and hit block, but then I took the ratings hit.  Wheels within wheels.

To reiterate, you are not actually taking a "ratings hit" by doing this. Once the person has been banned, your rating will readjust (12 AM London time, I believe). (This account has in fact been banned)

That is something for Stef to consider. We did discuss an essentially identical system like that recently. I can't read his mind and don't know what he's going to choose to do, but for the time being, the blacklist tool functions as reporting.
