At the start of this year the "free year of subscription" we gave to all old MF-users has ended. Because of that you personally only had a subscription to Alchemy, but it probably was more easy to find opponents with Prosperity too before the new year.

Your options now are to play with base only, select 'wait for expansions', or buy a subscription yourself.

The subscriptions don't end early, but there is a bit of a "miscommunication" about the end date/time.

When we first made the store I thought mentioning an end time and/or a timezone for subscriptions would be confusing more people then actually helping them. Now I'm not so sure. The fact that JunkDealers subscriptions were mentioned in two groups even though they ended on the same day implies they have different end times.

Version 1.3.9

The game has started lagging recently. This release the servers will log more extensively in order to be able to investigate further, and it will also balance the games over the three gameservers differently. Apart from that there should be no functional differences with 1.3.8

Sorry I'm a bit late responding here, but yes I can help you with this.
For now it isn't really a feature to buy gifts but you can use this trick:

1. Create a new account but don't use it to play.
2. Buy a subscription on this new account for however long you want.
3. Send me a message containing the name of this new account, the name of the account you want to give it to, and possibly the date you want me to move the subscription over.

  • Internal Error on load old game with Obelisk

In the previous version when someone reconnected to a gameserver without closing previous connections, the gameserver failed to do a proper cleanup and this could get the game stuck, only solvable by executing an undo. "without properly closing" is most likely the result of genuine connection trouble on the client side. This bug was much more prominent in spectated games, as those have people reconnecting all the time.

All games featuring Obelisk were unloadable, and now you can load those.
It's possible there are more reasons for games not to load but I'm not aware of any; if you still encounter Internal Error on loading a recent game please do post the game number here

Sorry, indeed it was down for everyone, for approximately the past 4 hours.

Fortunately I just fixed the problem and I expect everyone to be able to play again now.

I'd noticed this and considered reporting a bug but I think it actually working as designed but with poor wording.

My guess is that the message appears as soon as they click the "ok" button on the "game has ended" pop up. This certainly could be worded better however.
