I second that. My preference is not having to look at the log during my own turn. So I prefer to see what's going on at least for a split second (e.g. Lookout revealing 3 coppers).
Preferably, I'd also slow down the other player's turn. Other players prefer to have everything happen at once and look at the log, so it would be good, if everyone could set their speed.
If the other players finish their turn before all the animations are shown in my window, it could just speed up, such that the other person doesn't have to wait. But typically some decisions do take some thinking time such that this shouldn't happen too often (Hunting Party stacks being possibly an exception).
