Can't prince aristocrat, does nothing

Even when I play another Aristocrat from my hand it doesn't count as multiples to trigger draws, etc. It doesn't even give the 2 actions when played with prince--is that supposed to happen?

Command cards leave it where it is, and it's not in play.  So you get nothing because there aren't any in play.

For emphasize, Aristocrat count the number of copies in play not the number that have been played. While these are often the same, with command cards and Throne Room effects, these can be different. In this case, Aristocrat will be played but it is remain set aside. Hence, when executing the effect, 0 are in play and it will do nothing.
