Samurai + Way of the Chameleon

Game #152451791. Played Samurai with Way of the Chameleon, which, from my reading, should mean that you get +1 card every turn for the rest of the game. It gave +1 coin as if not played with Chameleon.

Way of the Chameleon reads:

Follow this card's instructions; each time that would give you +Cards this turn, you get +$ instead, and vice-versa.

The Chameleon only affects the card the turn it is played, not later (see above, emphasis mine). So it will never affect Samurai on turns after it is played.

Since Samurai doe not (usually) give +$ or +card on the turn it is played, Way of the Chameleon does (usually) not affect it at all. Exceptions are when Samurai in played at start of turn, say with Delay, Prepare or similar effects.
