Trail discard with The Sun's Gift does not trigger replay

In a kindgom with Fool and Train, having Lost in the Woods, I have discarded a card and received The Sun's Gift. Among the cards to look up there was a Trail, which I discarded together with another card.

Expectation: Trail is played

Observed: Trail lands to discard

I assume what happened is that an overlap of UI elements misguided you to chose the wrong option. Below you can see the situation when I reloaded the game. The moment is just after I discarded the Copper and Trail to Sun's Gift (see log).

Notice that the window showing the remaining two cards (Gold and Sauna) partially obscures the small button above the "Continue ->" button, especially the "Trail" header. That button needs to be clicked in order to activate Trail's ability (which is not automatic). I assume you clicked "Continue" at this point, which for the game meant you didn't want to play the Trail.

Clicking on the "Trail" button at this time makes it work, you get +1 Action, +1 Card and then proceed to order the Gold/Sauna on top of your deck.
