In 2022 the rules for spending Coffers were changed (you can now spend them any time during your turn). See here:

This required errara to two cards, one of them being Patron:

-Patron: Only gives Coffers during an Action phase.

Otherwise, in a game with Patron and Pursue you could amass as many Coffers as you wanted during a single turn if you trimmed your deck slim enough.

That's why Ghost didn't give you Coffers for revealing Patron, it didn't happen in your Action phase.
