Maliciously resigned in my last 5 games

In my last 5 games I played against different opponents and every time I was winning and suddenly it said that I resigned. One time there was a person called "mandolin" in chat that just said "xx".

I strongly believe this not to be a bug but that someone found an exploit to make the opponent resign.

I also believe that this was not the opponent's doing because it happened against different opponents and even happened in a bot game.

I can see that your last 6 games all ended with your resignation, even one after zero turns. Do you remember actually playing that 0 turn game?

I know that players can get into ghost games that run in parallel to their 'real' ones, and where their opponent will eventually resign them because they can't make a move.

But that doesn't seem to apply to your games, where you actually played many turns. I haven't heard about such behaviour before.

At the moment a new kind of bug seems more likely to me. Someone who has found a way to actually do what you say is likely to test it with different players, not one players several times in a row. But I can't really explain what happened with known bugs, so there might indeed be something else going on.

The usual advice here is to log out and wait 2 until changes of the full hour have occured.

That zero turn game was one I started against bots, went to the toilet and I got resigned.

Not sure what you mean by ghost games. But this was definitely malicious. I played like 20 games before with no issue. And the comment feom the guy that wasn't in my game made it very suspicious. Can you check him out?

People get into 'ghost games' (that means games their opponent sees normally, but they don't see because they are in another game) sometimes. Then of course the opponent in those ghost games never sees them make a play, so they get resigned.

It looks like something similar happend to you, but you were resigned in the games you actually played.

> That zero turn game was one I started against bots, went to the toilet and I got resigned.

All the games I looked at where against real people, not bots.

That's wrong thinking. This bug with ghost games happens very rarely, so rarely that with the number of games played it 'only' gets reported once every few days (which is bad enough of course for the affected players, like you in this case). But when it gets reported, it is always a continuous streak of games, until the player stops playing for a while. This is exactly what happened to you, nothing special going on and then suddenly you get resigned several times in a row.

I did, and nothing special about that person came up. He might just have been wondering why (in his view) you suddenly resigned a game that was still open or going your way.
